Zoom integration

Saturno can create and manage Zoom meetings for your online Live Sessions. You connect your own Zoom account and remain in control of the connection.

Zoom meeting management is separate from recording. For an online Live Session, Saturno schedules Recall.ai capture when recording is allowed and skips it when recording is explicitly disabled. When capture is scheduled, Saturno sends Recall.ai the current Zoom join link.

Open Saturno and connect Zoom

Saturno helps practitioners manage bookings and online Live Sessions. Approved practitioners can open Settings → Integrations to connect Zoom. If you are signed out, Saturno asks you to sign in and then returns you to the Integrations tab.

New to Saturno? Create your practitioner account. Saturno is in private beta, so creating an account does not grant practitioner access until Saturno approves it. If your access is still pending, contact Saturno Support.

Before you connect

You need:

  • A Saturno practitioner account
  • A Zoom account that can install apps
  • Permission from your Zoom administrator if your Zoom account restricts app installation

Connect Zoom

  1. Open Settings → Integrations and sign in if asked.
  2. Confirm that Saturno returns you to the Integrations tab.
  3. Find Zoom and select Connect.
  4. Sign in to Zoom if asked.
  5. Review the requested permissions and authorize Saturno.
  6. After Zoom returns you to Saturno, confirm that the Zoom card shows Connected.

Saturno requests only the permissions it needs to identify the connection and create, update, or delete meetings for your sessions.

Use Zoom as your default meeting provider

If you have more than one meeting provider connected:

  1. Open Settings → Integrations.
  2. Open the Zoom configuration menu.
  3. Select Set as default.

New online Live Sessions then use Zoom when Saturno needs to create a meeting link. Changing the default does not replace links already created for existing sessions.

What happens to a meeting

  • Confirmed booking: Saturno creates a scheduled Zoom meeting and adds the participant join link to the Saturno session.
  • Rescheduled future session: Saturno updates the corresponding Zoom meeting’s schedule and details.
  • Cancelled future session: Saturno deletes the corresponding Zoom meeting.
  • Intended participants: Saturno shares the participant join link through the session experience and related notifications.
  • Calendar and recording services: Saturno may include the join link in a separately connected Google Calendar event. When recording is allowed, Saturno also sends the current join link to Recall.ai to schedule capture.

Saturno does not use the Zoom integration to access or manage Zoom cloud recordings.

Disconnect or remove Saturno

Disconnect from Saturno

  1. Open Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find Zoom and select Disconnect.
  3. Confirm the change.

Saturno attempts to revoke its access with Zoom, then deletes the stored Zoom connection credentials, Zoom user and account identifiers, meeting identifiers, and participant join URLs associated with the connection. Local deletion still happens if Zoom cannot process the revocation. You can also remove Saturno from Zoom as described below.

Saturno does not promise to delete every existing meeting from your Zoom account when you disconnect. Cancel a future Saturno session before disconnecting if you want Saturno to delete its corresponding Zoom meeting.

Disconnecting Zoom does not delete recordings, transcripts, or summaries created through Recall.ai. Those records follow Saturno’s normal retention rules.

Saturno also attempts to clear the same Zoom join link from the related Google Calendar event while preserving the event. For Recall.ai, Saturno deletes a bot that has not been dispatched or asks a dispatched bot to leave, then checks whether Recall.ai has cleared the meeting reference. If a connected service is unavailable or no longer authorized, its copy may remain; remove it there or contact support.

Copies already delivered to intended participants, such as email or calendar notifications and browser history, cannot be retracted.

Remove Saturno from Zoom

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Open Manage → Added Apps.
  3. Find Saturno and select Remove.

Zoom notifies Saturno of the removal. Saturno then deletes the same locally stored Zoom connection and meeting-link data described above.

Reconnect Zoom

Return to Settings → Integrations and select Connect on the Zoom card. Review and authorize the requested permissions again. Reconnecting creates a new connection; it does not restore deleted Saturno integration data.

Reviewer test plan

This credential-free plan is for the Zoom review team. Saturno test-account credentials are supplied only through Zoom’s secure reviewer fields.

  1. While signed out of Saturno, open this Zoom integration page. Confirm that it explains Saturno and the integration, and offers both a practitioner sign-in path and a private-beta signup and support path.
  2. Open Settings → Integrations, sign in with the securely supplied synthetic practitioner account, and confirm that Saturno returns you to the Integrations tab.
  3. Find Zoom and select Connect.
  4. Sign in with your own external Zoom review account, review the requested permissions, and authorize Saturno.
  5. Confirm that Zoom returns to Saturno and the Zoom card shows Connected.
  6. If Zoom is not already marked Default, open its configuration menu and select Set as default. If it is already the effective default, continue to the next step.
  7. Follow the securely supplied instructions to use the same synthetic Saturno account to book its own future online Live Session in external-payment mode. Confirm that the flow shows no card entry, creates no PaymentIntent, and collects no money.
  8. Verify that Saturno shows a Zoom join link and that the matching scheduled meeting exists in Zoom.
  9. Reschedule the future session. Verify that the same Zoom meeting reflects the new schedule.
  10. Cancel the future session. Verify that the corresponding Zoom meeting is deleted.
  11. Disconnect Zoom in Saturno. Verify that the Zoom card no longer shows Connected and that the former join link is no longer exposed in Saturno.
  12. Connect Zoom again. Create a second synthetic future session and verify its Zoom join link before testing removal from Zoom.
  13. Remove Saturno from Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps. Refresh Saturno and verify that the connection and second session’s former join link are no longer exposed.
  14. Connect Zoom once more to verify that a clean reauthorization succeeds.

Use only synthetic practitioner, client, and session data. Never include a client secret, production token, real client record, meeting passcode, payment-card detail, or health information.

Troubleshooting

Zoom says an administrator must approve the app

Your Zoom account may restrict app installation. Ask your Zoom administrator to approve Saturno, then try again.

Saturno does not show Zoom as connected

Return to Settings → Integrations and try connecting again. Complete the authorization in the same browser window and do not reuse an old authorization page.

A meeting was not created or updated

Check that Zoom still shows Connected in Saturno. If Saturno asks you to reconnect, authorize Zoom again. Confirm that the session is online and has a future date and time.

A client cannot join

Open the session in Saturno and use its current join link. If the session was rescheduled, avoid an older link copied before the change.

You still need help

See Saturno Support and include the time of the issue, your time zone, and the steps you followed. Never send a password, OAuth token, meeting passcode, or client health information.
